Cold Water and a Washcloth: The Keys to Healthy Skin

0 38

Acne is a problem that cramps the style of almost every person on the planet. White heads can ruin an evening and blackheads appear as often as morning wood.

Make no mistake, acne is here to stay.

In my years on earth, I’ve had my fair share of head-turning pimples. I mean, for God’s sake, I went through puberty.

You May Like These

If you’re currently living in the years of raging hormones and bacon grease like facial oil, then I’ll be honest with you. No amount of acne wash or any type of facial cleanser will help you. Your pimples are here to stay. Everyone else is suffering, so you might as well deal with it.

Nobody has perfect skin. The only reason we even think perfect skin exists is due to the invention of the airbrush and its use in all popular media. I have yet to meet a real person alive who doesn’t have wrinkles, pimples, or blemishes on their face.

Enough talking because the goal of this article is to introduce you to my new way of facial cleansing and how you can (hopefully) achieve similar results.

My story

i won’t lie I used to wash my face with countless products to get rid of those red mini-mountains on my face. I would normally see an ad and then buy the product.

I would like to tell you that my skin has become the object of everyone’s desire and that girls literally threw themselves on me because my skin was as smooth as a baby’s bottom. But if I told you that, I would be lying. The truth is I kept spending my money on useless facial products, filling tissues with pus and dreading the day Whitehead Mountain would return to ruin my life.

So here I am, a 22-year-old college kid with fairly clear skin. I won’t say perfect because that’s impossible. I’m not immune to the development of pimples, pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, spots or whatever the heck you want to call them. But my good friend recently told me that my skin was unusually clear and that she threw a jealous tantrum because her skin was nothing like mine.

Mind you, this was after two months in Japan, where shall I say my personal hygiene wasn’t high on my list of priorities.

What have I done?

I have stopped using all soaps, creams, masks and wipes. And to be honest, I’ve stopped worrying about my face. I started doing the bare minimum work that could be done to take care of your face. All I did was apply a little common sense to my nightly routine and BAM clear skin.

I do the same thing every day. I wake up and splash cold water on my face. Before I go to bed I use a washcloth with cold water and scrub my face for a few minutes and then splash some more cold water on my face. That’s it.

Oh, and by the way, my face is the clearest it’s ever been in my life. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had crater-sized pimples. They used to come with uncanny regularity.

Why does this system work and what are you doing wrong?

Cold water closes the pores. When the pores are closed, dirt, oil and other debris cannot penetrate and inflame your skin. Which then causes your body to send white blood cells to help heal the area (yes, white heads are simply your body trying to heal itself).

A washcloth, used properly, is the perfect acne fighter. It is so abrasive that it acts like a scrub on your skin. This means that it not only removes dirt and oil, but also removes dead skin cells. Still, it’s gentle enough not to tear skin from bone.

Here, too, the final wash with cold water closes the pores and leaves the skin feeling revitalised.

Note: Don’t Hulk-Out if you’re using a washcloth. The skin on your face is very sensitive. be gentle

What are you doing wrong…

use of hot water. Hot water brings blood to the surface of your skin. blood is red Why would you want to bring a red substance to the surface of your skin so it can be seen? I guess if you were going to a twilight themed party I would understand.

Honestly, hot water can bring so much blood to the surface of your face that the blood vessels actually burst. Leaves red marks on the face.

Use of soap, creams and other chemical cleaning agents. All of the above products contain chemicals. Most of them neither you nor I can pronounce. I don’t care what the ads say, putting any kind of artificial chemicals on your body (especially the delicate skin on your face) is not a good thing.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking to try and achieve that unattainable Cosmo top skin, or just want the peace of mind that you’re doing more than just washing your face with water and a washcloth, then I recommend going with all natural products that aren’t Contain ingredients that contain this you can’t pronounce.

Even better, if you’re into masks and other feminine things of that nature, try making the stuff yourself. It will be a lot more fun and a lot better for your skin.
