Herpes zoster shingles is caused by the same virus as chickenpox and is one of the most uncomfortable and painful conditions one can experience. Shingles manifests as a rash on a specific part of the body and is said to develop along nervous ramifications; Along with antiviral treatment, doctors also usually prescribe opiates to help patients manage the pain. The great danger is opening a vicious circle, since most opiates cause narcotic dependence. Alternative medicine has developed other solutions to the pain management associated with shingles. You can prepare a combined highly concentrated infusion from these herbs, let it cool down and then wash the body parts affected by shingles. All of the above herbs have great antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antiviral compounds that work wonders for herpes rashes. You can also use red pepper to fight herpes zoster thanks to its fundamental compound known as capsaicin. This substance is actually the active ingredient in many herpetic balms and ointments available on the market such as Zostrix.
