Pancreatic Disorders and SIBO

0 10

If you suffer from excessive bloating, constant bloating, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain and/or may have taken many cycles of antibiotics and you are weak and depressed, you have symptoms of SIBO.

SIBO is an acronym for Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. The small intestine in adults is a long and narrow tubular chamber that connects the stomach to the large intestine. The human small intestine is believed to be ten times longer than the body.

The digestive process takes place mainly in the small intestine. Ninety percent of fats, fifty percent of proteins and carbohydrates are broken down by pancreatic digestive enzymes into tiny molecules that can enter the system through the wall of the small intestine for the human organism to use for energy to fuel its own cells and system build up, and for life support.

Normally there is a small amount of microorganisms in the small intestine. Otherwise harmful, hungry invaders would eat our food and components in food that keep a human body healthy and make us starve. The human organism has a complex, multi-layered system to keep the beginning of the small intestine – the duodenum – almost sterile.

1. All the bacteria, yeast and parasites that we can get from food and water end up in the stomach. There we have the first strong guard of the gastrointestinal tract. Stomach acid destroys many of the microorganisms. High acidity in the stomach kills the microorganisms; little can survive passage through this hostile milieu. On the other hand, bacteria, yeast and parasites can pass through, thrive and cause many health problems, especially when stomach acid is suppressed or low levels of stomach acid are produced.

2. Some of the bacteria, yeast and parasites that survive in the stomach migrate to the duodenum – the beginning of the small intestine. As the acidic, half-digested food exits the stomach into the duodenum, bile is forced out of the gallbladder while the pancreas simultaneously releases large amounts of pancreatic juice, which is extremely alkaline. A highly alkaline condition kills microorganisms. Normally, pancreatic juice has very strong antimicrobial activity, hence the digestive enzymes of the pancreas digest the unwanted visitors like microbes, yeast, viruses and parasites. Antimicrobial pancreatic juice makes the environment in the small intestine free of microbes and yeast. Pancreatic juice loses its antimicrobial effect when it becomes acidic instead of alkaline. Whole body acidification, pancreatitis, liver and gallbladder disease, candida yeast overgrowth, alcoholism decrease the activity of the digestive enzymes of the pancreas, allowing the bad bacteria in the duodenum to thrive.

3. Under healthy conditions, microorganisms in the small intestine have no chance of surviving. 2.5 liters of bile and pancreatic juice, in addition about 2 liters (1.8 liters) of intestinal juice are released into the small intestine every day. This “flow” flushes the bacteria, yeast and parasites out of the small intestine so that they cannot colonize the intestine. In order to maintain this mechanism, the body must be well hydrated. Chronic constipation usually shows that the activity of the intestine is low and there is an environment for bad bacteria to multiply.

4. With each meal, new groups of foreign invaders enter the small intestine and trick the immune system into “fighting” them. The healthy immune system fights and kills the unfriendly microorganisms in the small intestine. When there are too many microbes, yeast, viruses and parasites in the gut, the immune system becomes exhausted. Poor diet, total body acidity, food allergies, some medications and drugs, alcohol and smoking, diabetes, chemotherapy, AIDS, candida yeast overgrowth, etc. make the immune system overwhelmed and weak. When resistance subsides, bad bacteria, yeast, and parasites take over the small intestine, leading to bacterial overgrowth of the small intestine.

5. Another guardian of the small intestine is a friendly gut flora like Lactobacillus Acidophilus, which resides at the end of the small intestine near the large intestine. A friendly gut flora competes with bad bacteria and doesn’t allow them to grow. When the gentle balance between the friendly bacteria and the bad bacteria, yeast and parasites is disturbed, many diseases occur.

It is now easy to understand what causes small intestine bacterial overgrowth – SIBO. If the stomach acid decreases, the exocrine pancreas function and antibacterial effect of the pancreas juice is low, there is chronic constipation, the ileocecal valve opens, our immune system is exhausted and weak or the friendly intestinal flora is killed, then the small intestine receives the harbor of microbes, viruses, yeasts and parasites. All of these factors are interconnected, so the healing effect must focus on all of them.

All Eradicate, Kill, and Eliminate can provide temporary relief. “Seek and Destroy” is not for this case. We can kill bacteria in the gut without restoring the natural pathways to control bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine; This condition will be chronic and chronic.

In almost all digestive disorders, the function of the pancreas is reduced. Low quantity and quality of pancreatic digestive enzymes lead to indigestion. Undigested food that builds up in the gut is fermented by bacteria and yeast, producing many gases such as hydrogen and methane. Thanks to new technology (hydrogen breath test), doctors got more information about SIBO. SIBO is a relatively new diagnosis but not a new condition.

For thousands of years, European doctors have treated patients with gas, constant bloating and bloating, diarrhea or constipation, and abdominal pain. These symptoms are symptoms of bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine. They called this condition dyspepsia (from the Greek dys and pepsis, “digestion”), also known as upset stomach or indigestion. Many non-drug methods of treating indigestion developed for this time, such as:

European doctors used drinking healing mineral water for dyspepsia since the 18th century. The most popular and scientifically researched is the mineral water from the Karlovy Vary thermal spring; the small town in the Czech Republic. Drinking water from the spring or drinking water prepared from genuine Karlovy Vary spring salt relieves the symptoms of indigestion. It is hard to imagine that the first medical book on Karlovy Vary mineral water was written in 1522. After that, European doctors published many books and articles to prove the healing properties of this water. Some of these actions are:

• Normalization of the acid-base balance, reducing the acidity of bile and pancreatic juice

• Increase in production and excretion of bile

• Increasing the amount and increasing the activity of the digestive enzymes in the pancreas

• Repair of damaged intestinal walls

• normalization of the work of Oddi’s sphincter; the valve between the bile and pancreatic ducts and the duodenum

• Moisturize the body

• Relief of chronic constipation

• Promotion of the growth of the friendly intestinal flora

All of these actions can promote good digestion and restore the proper mechanisms to keep the small intestine free of harmful bacteria, yeast and parasites. Drinking water prepared from genuine Karlovy Vary spring salt can be used in all cases of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth associated with chronic pancreatitis, sphincter of Oddi dysfunction, gallbladder removal, upper abdominal surgeries including bariatric (weight and loss) surgery and several courses of the Antibiotics, steroids and chemotherapy.

Restoring the proper balance of friendly gut flora and bad bacteria and yeast is critical to curing SIBO. To draw an analogy, it is difficult to grow roses in a garden full of weeds, toxic chemicals, bugs and rodents, in a garden without good soil and an adequate supply of water and nutrients. Common sense, clinical observations and medical research tell us that instead of just focusing on destroying the infections, it is necessary to also restore all possible mechanisms that naturally control the growth of opportunistic infections in the gut, specifically restoring the friendly gut Flora. Full body cleansing with colon hydrotherapy, healing diet, herbs, and restoring friendly gut flora with live probiotics is a good first step in recovery from SIBO. It is important to work with a knowledgeable, licensed medical provider.
