Quick But Healthy Breakfast Recipes

0 68

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Skipping breakfast not only increases stress levels, but stomach acid burns through the stomach and esophageal lining, causing, horror of horrors, bad breath.
Breakfast is so named because it literally means breaking the fast that has been forced on the body to get at least six to eight hours of sleep every night. This means that most, if not all, of the food eaten during lunch or dinner has been completely digested and the body has nothing left to rely on. This lowers blood sugar levels and leaves the brain feeling groggy, or at least groggy.
Here are some breakfast ideas that are quick, healthy, and will have you on top of the world in no time.
Don’t feel like muesli? That’s not a problem as you can still get your dairy and milk proteins through this simple yet delicious recipe. The night before, dice some cooked chicken and set aside. Also chop some onions and garlic. That’s it. The next morning, mix the three ingredients and sauté in light butter until the onions and garlic are cooked. Add a pinch of salt if you like, but grating cheese over the mixture will make it salty enough. Then add a tablespoon of flour to the mixture and mix well. Add a pinch of pepper and some Worcestershire sauce, mix again. Finally, pour in a can or packet of all-purpose cream or light cream, if desired. When the mixture thickens, set aside to cool. Grab some bread and lightly toast it. When you’re done, simply pour the mixture onto the bread. This is a hearty and healthy breakfast that’s sure to keep you going until lunchtime, but if you overeat it will last well past lunchtime.
How about some eggs? Simply whisk three or four eggs with a little salt and pepper and grate cheese over them, the amount is up to you. Then take some of the ham left over from last day, some green peppers, a tomato, onions and garlic. Cut into pieces and set aside. In a small skillet, heat some vegetable oil or butter, whichever you like, and pour in the egg mixture when it’s hot enough for the sides to start to simmer. Cook for about a minute and then carefully place the remaining ingredients in the center of the boiled eggs. When the sides of the eggs lift easily, gently fold one side over the bacon mixture, then fold the other side over to make an omelette. Muy bien! Spanish omelet in less than 8 minutes!

There are so many breakfast ideas that are hardly implemented in households these days because you usually don’t have the time. Actually, you still have plenty of time to do something because all it takes is a little planning and reading that old recipe book your mom and grandmother used to have.
