What’s The Big Deal With Simple And Complex Carbohydrates?

0 44

When it comes to carbohydrates, they fall into two main categories. They are simple and complex. There is quite a difference between the two. Simple carbs offer no real nutritional value, while complex ones fuel your body and brain. Simple and complex carbohydrates work together as a team.

Many people make the mistake of eliminating extreme carbohydrates from their diet. This could be due to a person following a low carb diet. Many people believe that trying to stick to a diet or starting one will get the results they want. That may well be true, but there are better and easier ways to do it.

There really is no secret. All you have to do is eat right and watch the things you eat. Another factor is that you should be careful about how much you eat. For example, eating one cookie is certainly not as bad as eating four or five. Cookies, cake, pie, soda, juice, and candy are all examples of simple carbohydrates.

Many people get confused when it comes to complex and simple carbohydrates because they can’t tell the difference between the two and aren’t sure which foods belong to which group of carbohydrates. Things don’t have to be made so difficult.

You honestly don’t have to be on a diet to look and feel good. A healthy and balanced diet will do the trick. Determination is a great thing here. Again, knowing what to eat and what to avoid is an important key to success.

The food pyramid is a good guide. Remember that your body needs both types of carbohydrates, but one more than the other. Examples of complex carbohydrates include spinach, zucchini, okra, oranges, multigrain bread, kidney beans, and soy milk. It’s a good idea to pay attention to the labels that are on the foods you eat. Don’t be afraid to read labels and compare different foods.
