A summary of beautiful recipes with seasonal fruit delight: BLUEBERRIES! Packed with color and flavor, these recipes are healthy, packed with antioxidants, and perfect for taking advantage of the bounty of blueberry season.

The blueberries have been VERY good lately.

Probably because we’re in PEAK blueberry season. So it definitely makes sense! πŸ˜‰

Most of the year I buy frozen blueberries, but in the summer, fresh is the way to go because they are perfectly plump, ripe and juicy.

Since I’ve been shopping for so many blueberries lately, I’ve had to keep thinking of tons of new ways to use them. Cakes, jams, pies, pancakes … the possibilities are endless and they taste so good in everything!

After all, it’s blueberry season and I’ll be heading out to the country with my mom soon for our annual blueberry picking trip. We usually only go once a summer, as we spend a bit of time collecting! Once you start, you can’t stop.

Last year we weighed about 15 pounds and ended up with a full freezer well into winter. If you like fresh blueberries, wait until you’ve frozen them. They are like candy! It reminds me of what happens when you freeze grapes. It’s sure to be a sweet and healthy summer treat!

Since I am going to collect soon, I thought it would be fun to collect some Beautiful blueberry recipes to give me some inspiration on what to do with my loot. I reached out to some of my favorite bloggers and got their best blueberry stuffed recipes to share with all of you! So now we’ll all be ready to make the most of the blueberry season this year. Remember it only lasts from May to July … so get them while they’re fresh!

  1. I love blueberries and I love, I love, I LOVE the look of all these recipes! Blueberry picking is definitely on my wish list … although I can eat the whole field on my own πŸ˜‰

  3. Magnificent summary !! The only time I picked blueberries was in mid-August and I was 6 months pregnant. It was hot. Blueberries are small. And that bucket was not filling! HA HA HA! After that we decided that buying them from the farm was just as good … we would buy 20 pounds and do exactly what you do … eat 10 and then freeze the other 10! HA HA HA! πŸ™‚ Thanks for including me! <3

  4. MMM…. I will definitely be coming back here soon and making beautiful blueberry recipes! <3

  6. Hmm! We love blueberries in our house, and these all sound great, especially beet muffins with blueberries (we love beets too!). I have set this to save for later. Can’t wait to try them out!

  7. I have to go blueberry picking, I really need to! Everything is better fresh, they sure are magical. Thanks for all the ideas and for including one of mine <3 I love blueberries in things!

  8. Well, I’m one of those really weird people … I don’t like blueberries. But … okay, here I am. I don’t think they taste like … anything? If that makes sense. My best friend loves blueberries, so she thinks I’m crazy, but unless it’s a blueberry muffin, I’m not really interested. When baked into something (like in these recipes), I love it! Just not on your own. πŸ˜‰

    • Ha ha! There is no shame in that! We all have different tastes! I swear to you, if you’ve never picked them fresh, then you’ve never really tasted a blueberry … there’s something so special about eating a blueberry straight from the bush! I don’t like fresh papaya or mango, so I can definitely relate to not liking a popular fruit! πŸ™‚

  9. I love blueberries. Lately I’ve been on a fresh blueberry and raw almond sandwich. It’s so good!

  26. My blueberry bushes are loaded this year! I can’t wait for the harvest to start. I usually say like this: 1 for me, 1 for the dog, 1 for the bucket. Sometimes Max (the dog) gets impatient and the cube doesn’t get impatient! I have my own little blueberry farm (18 bushes, mostly of the Jersey variety because the berries are big). Last year we froze 18 rooms and I still have a little left.
These are amazing recipes, that’s to share
