Aspartame – 5 Common Side Effects of Aspartame and a Healthy Alternative
Aspartame is a popular food additive that replaces sugar as a zero-calorie sweetener. Found primarily in diet soda, chewing gum, and anything else advertised as sugar/fat free. It’s highly addictive and tastes really good, which is why people have such a hard time getting off products like Diet Coke. It’s not called “Cola” for nothing.
The dangers of aspartame and its side effects are astronomical, but here’s a short list. I highly recommend doing more research on this very dangerous chemical that millions of people consume daily without knowing its side effects.
Here are 5 common side effects of aspartame:

• Alzheimer’s disease
• Headache migraine
• sleep disturbance
There are many more side effects than these, but many of these have been experienced in the past when consuming a product containing aspartame. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to catch this early on and was able to stop taking products with it. It was difficult, but I gave up my soda and gum addiction completely. If I can remove these from my life, I know you can too. I promise the benefits are worth it. Your ability to be happy and have an amazing life full of fun experiences depends on good health.
As I said before, this is a very short list of the long-term side effects of aspartame, there are many more and I encourage further research. I strongly recommend never consuming anything that contains aspartame! Especially if you are pregnant or ill. If you’re looking for a sugar replacement, I recommend stevia for a natural, healthy alternative that tastes great!
Aspartame and the Liver
A lot of my studies have been about the liver and how important it is to our body and health. Our liver is responsible for so much that it is imperative that we become more conscious of how to keep it healthy.
Our liver breaks down all of our food, cleans out the toxins in our body, processes all of our sensory input, and is our heating furnace. It is the only organ in the body that can regenerate.
Fluoride is extremely harsh on our liver, which is already extremely abused in our society. Eliminating aspartame can play an important role in healing our liver.
