how to lose weight
In a recent post, Deb, a reader of the God, Diet, Fitness and Weight Loss blog, said her doctor advised her to shed a few necessary pounds and improve health to avoid the 3 S’s. This is good advice if you want to lose weight, improve your health and live a long active life. The 3 S’s help you add pounds while wreaking havoc on your immune system, making you more susceptible to numerous diseases including heart disease, cancer, diabetes (top 3 deadliest diseases).
Avoid salt
Our body needs salt. The problem is that we eat too much salt. The recommended salt intake is between 500 and 2400 milligrams. Optimally, we should consume between 1500 and 2000 milligrams a day. Unfortunately, most Americans consume 5 times the necessary amount. This excess sodium causes heart problems, high blood pressure, calcium depletion, increased chances of certain types of cancer, kidney dysfunction, and a long list of health problems, not to mention increased weight gain and even obesity. Obesity and being overweight in and of itself adds another long list of potential health problems. Therefore, by avoiding excessive sodium intake, you improve your health and reduce the risk of obesity. Note that reducing excess sodium intake only reduces the risk of obesity, it doesn’t burn fat after you may already have gained too much. You need to exercise and build muscle to burn fat.
Avoid sugar
Not just table sugar, but all types of processed sugar and substitutes are bad for you. Like salt, sugar is necessary for our bodies to function properly. No processed simple sugars, but complex carbohydrates that our bodies convert into the energy it needs to do everything. Our consumption of sugar or substitutes is far worse than consumption of salt. Sugar is found in all processed foods. Sugar, the main additive in all processed foods, is also the most addictive drug we can take. You’ve been craving something sweet. It’s not because it’s good for or for you. It’s because your body craves sugar like a drug or alcohol. This addiction causes cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other deadly diseases. So to be healthy, just limit the sugars you consume. Sugar is the leading cause of death from food. This slowly degrades your body down to a cellular level while wiping out your immune system and adding useless fat. obesity kills. Limit all forms of sugar and lose weight while improving your health. Don’t forget to exercise.
Avoid seconds
That’s easy. Don’t overeat. Large portions only add excess, which becomes indigestible and leads to obesity. You don’t lose weight by simply eating less. This is news blitz for many people. But you stop gaining weight by eating less. You will also improve your health infinitely. Inevitably, one thing is that by cutting out seconds, you’ll consume less salt and sugar. Healthy weight loss involves healthy eating and regular exercise. A key to eating right is avoiding the 3 S’s. Thanks Deb
