Cabbage Soup Diet Guidelines For Quick Weight Loss

The following cabbage soup diet guidelines will help you lose weight fast and detoxify your system. This diet allows you to eat as much soup as you like, along with a variety of other foods. The foods used in this diet are simple and easy to find.

This diet works well. However, it has some positive and negative aspects. The positives are:

  • The soup is delicious
  • It’s a simple diet and you don’t have to go shopping for a week

  • You’ll be fed up with cabbage (even though it’s only for 7 days)
  • It takes a lot of willpower
  • Some people spend a lot of time in the bathroom
  • Some people feel light-headed when getting rid of toxins
  • Some people get a lot of gas from it

Note: The cabbage soup diet is also known as the Mayo Clinic diet and the Sacred Heart diet. The following cabbage soup diet guidelines don’t include expensive pills or supplements… just staples and the soup.

This is a short term fast weight loss and cleansing diet. You can find many long-term diet plans that work and are not harmful to your health. It is neither wise nor healthy to use this as a long-term diet.

Cabbage Soup Diet Guidelines

You can eat as much soup as you want for seven days. Each day of the diet contains specific foods that must be eaten that day. All fruits are allowed except bananas.

day 1

Eat as much soup and fruit as you like. Remember, no bananas. Drink unsweetened tea, black coffee, cranberry juice, and water.

day 2

Eat as much soup and fresh vegetables (raw or cooked) as you like, except for dried beans, peas, and sweetcorn. Reward yourself with a large baked potato with butter for dinner. No fruit.

day 3

Combine days one and two and eat as many fruits, vegetables and soup as you like, but please no baked potatoes.

day 4

Eat as much soup and bananas (no more than eight) as you like and drink as much skim milk as you like.

day 5

Eat as much soup as you want (I know you get tired of it, but eat it at least once today). Eat 10-20 ounces of beef, fried fish, or baked (skinless) chicken. In addition, you can eat up to six fresh tomatoes. Be sure to drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water to wash the uric acid out of your body.

day 6

Eat as much soup (at least once today) as you like. Eat beef and vegetables today. You can even have two or three steaks with your fresh vegetables or salad if you like.

day 7

Eat as much soup (at least once today). Eat as much brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice, and vegetables as you like.

Hooray! You did it! You’ve followed the cabbage soup diet guidelines for seven days, and now it’s time to start eating regularly and healthy to continue losing weight safely.
