The Bach Flower Healing System works on the principle that it is our fear, our worries, our anxieties, etc. that open us to disease invading. So by treating our fears, our worries, our worries, etc., not only do we rid ourselves of our illnesses, but the herbs also take away our fears and worries, leaving us happier and better about ourselves.
dr Bach (Bach 1931) said in relation to his Bach Flowers:
“They heal, not by attacking the disease, but by flooding our body with the beautiful vibrations of our Higher Nature, in the presence of which disease melts away like snow in sunshine. There is no true healing unless there is a change in perspective, peace of mind and inner happiness.”
dr Bach believed that since people respond differently to the same disease, the person who does not have the disease needs treatment. As his own health suffered he looked for alternatives and delved into homeopathy and eventually sought his own remedies based on the simplicity of that health and happiness resulting from being in harmony with our own nature.
dr Bach wanted his Bach flowers to be used to alleviate mental stress, to deal with inner problems and to heal attitudes such as regret or a lack of self-confidence. This included positive interaction and encouragement from the practitioner. A good doctor should be able to recognize illnesses from specific moods and attitudes before they become physical symptoms.
Disharmony between the spiritual and mental aspects of a person was the basis for disease, and this disharmony lowered the body’s defense mechanisms and allowed the disease to take root. So the Bach Flowers were for treating the client’s mood and temperament and not the physical symptoms. Each client then became more themselves and their health and vitality returned.
