Grapeseed Oil for a Yeast Free Diet

0 13

Have you ever heard of grapeseed oil? Grapeseed oil is fairly new to me and I’ve only recently started using it in my yeast-free cooking. While not as common as other oils that many of us use, such as vegetable, canola, and olive oils, the use of grapeseed oil has gained popularity in recent years, particularly in health-eating circles. I first came across grapeseed oil as a recommendation in one of my yeast-free diet reference books. The book recommended adding the oil to a yeast-free diet because it’s such a rich source of linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is an essential fatty acid that the body needs to function properly. It’s not something the body produces itself, so the only way to get adequate amounts of it is to ingest it. Although some research suggests that linoleic acid may slow the growth of Candida albicans, consuming grapeseed oil offers additional benefits for those of us on a yeast-free diet to treat candidiasis.

It’s these other health benefits brought on by the high levels of linoleic acid in grapeseed oil that are of particular concern to those of us suffering from candidiasis. Effective treatment of Candidasis is a multi-faceted approach that involves reducing the number of Candida albicans through the introduction of antifungal medications, restoring the body’s health so that it can effectively control Candida albicans, and modifying the diet to eliminate it stop feeding, includes candida. Increasing your intake of linoleic acid helps the body function more efficiently, giving it a much better chance of overcoming candidiasis.

Adding grapeseed oil to a yeast-free diet contributes to the overall health of the candidiasis sufferer. Research suggests that grapeseed oil can lower levels of bad cholesterol while raising good cholesterol. It has been shown to improve circulatory health. The oil’s high vitamin E content has made it well known and widely used in skin care. The high antioxidant content in the oil protects the body from free radical damage and strengthens the immune system. It is also indicated to prevent and relieve the symptoms of arthritis.

Grapeseed oil has a very neutral taste, which is why it can be used in so many recipes. It also has a high smoke point so it can be used for frying. You can try using it in your homemade dressings, mayonnaise or marinades. It’s sometimes hard to find, but if you can’t find it at your local supermarket, you can most likely find it at the health food store.
