Food and Digestion – The Reason You Should NEVER Drink Cold Drinks

Do you drink ice water… or do you have drinks straight from the fridge?

There is a saying in Chinese medicine: “Above all, protect your digestion.” By “digestion” they mean the processing of both FOOD and LIQUID.

Think about it…

If you don’t process Food right, you don’t turn food into BLOOD and ENERGY (“Qi” as the Chinese call it) in order for your organs to function properly – so your organs are literally “tired” and unable to do their jobs well.

Your heart tip Function. Your lungs can’t work. Your kidneys, bladder, liver, gallbladder, stomach and intestines are all “tired” and unable to do their jobs.

And your immune system does not have the power to protect you from cancer, cold, flu, radiation, etc.

And those are just the problems when food isn’t processed. If you don’t process liquids correct…

…Fluid builds up in your tissues (Chinese medicine calls this condition “dampness”)

Finally, this liquid stiffensand becomes a condition called “slime” (this includes, but is not the same as, slime or slime).

This “mucus” leads to obesity, depression, urinary tract infections, dementia, seizures, cysts and tumors, sinus headaches, allergies, all respiratory problems like sinusitis, asthma, COPD, and a host of other problems.

Furthermore… includes the processing of food and liquids elimination… so you get problems with constipation, diarrhea and urination.

All of the diseases listed there have improper eating as one of the main causes of this condition.

In some cases, the problems come directly from the food itself. But in most cases, the problem lies in how the food negatively affects your digestion, with weakened digestion then leading to the diseased state.


So, like cold drinks Damage Your ability to process food and liquids?

Here’s a simple analogy…

When you put water on the stove, it moves More quickly…there is more activity.

If you put water in the freezer, it is slowed down (freezes)…there’s less activity.

Cold sinks Activity. heat increases Activity.

Chinese medicine describes the act of digestion as one warm Process. Energy (and life itself) is warm. When we’re dead, we’re freezing dead…

It was shown through thousands Years of observation in China that we decrease our digestive activity when we drink chilled or cold liquids.

we pain this warm digestive process (cold negates heat).

First, this leads to poor digestion of food and liquid. Much like when your car can’t completely burn the fuel, the food isn’t digested properly and you have a “mud“(what in Chinese medicine”standing food” and or “mucus“.)

This “mud” is often the deeper cause from problems like a weak immune system, weight gain, fatigue, cysts, allergies, sinusitis, and certain types of headaches.

SECOND, warming up the cold liquids consumed Energy (heat), resulting in a net loss of energy.

THIRD, your weakened digestion can no longer produce quality energy from the food you eat, leaving less energy for your organs to function properly…

…do you understand the picture? You can (and will) end up with almost every disease imaginable.

What to do?

You could Lucky to have a strong digestion and not feel too overwhelmed by cold drinks. Consider yourself blessed. But if you’re already in a somewhat weakened state…

…drinking COLD drinks might be one of the “straws” the camels break back. Here’s my advice:

If you have ice water with your meals, Break.

If you’re drinking your drinks cold out of the fridge, stop.

Do not drink more than a teacup of room temperature or warm water (or green tea) with your meals.

When you eat at restaurants, tell the waiter, “No ice cream, please!”

One of the biggest culprits is the ice water you get at the restaurant. Just before eating a large meal, quench your “digestive fire” (read this as DAMAGE your digestion) with this ice cold water. Big mistake!

Iced drinks really aren’t good for anyone. Nature did not intend for us to drink cold or frozen liquids frequently. Fridges and freezers are extremely recent in the history of human nutrition.

Not to mention that there just aren’t many fridges in nature!

*** Think about the implications of cold dishes here too. Obviously they are equally harmful. ***

It may take some getting used to, but drinking room-temperature or warmer water is a good first step towards living healthier.
