Turmeric helped save my life. In 2012 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. As you can imagine, being told you have cancer is not a pleasant experience. Luckily I had just started a 10 week secondment in a remote area of Western Australia when my doctor broke the news over the phone.
When I say it was lucky, I mean it gave me and my partner Joy the opportunity to do a lot of research before deciding on a course of action. Poor Joy had to be alone for 10 weeks after I told her about the diagnosis the first week of my absence. Nothing you want to hear from your partner if you don’t see them for 10 weeks.
But like I said, it gave us both a chance to think about it without reflexively reacting to the news and go straight to surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation. What my doctor suggested.
Having your prostate removed can lead to all sorts of complications for your nerves around your waterworks, and I didn’t want to experience that.
WHAT I HAVE DISCOVERED
Our research led me to the conclusion that there are better and more natural ways of dealing with the situation than the conventional way. And they didn’t involve invasive surgery, chemicals, or hospitalization.
Joy had heard about a guy named Don Tolman who would be coming to the Gold Coast for a seminar shortly after I got back.
Don is known as a Whole Food Cowboy and I was blown away by his knowledge and insights into the human body. I learned so much from Don in a very short time.
I then changed my diet, did more sport, lots of water, sun, fresh air and meditation.
Don gave me what I like to call the secret weapon to curing prostate cancer. I want to share it with you.
THE SECRET GUN DIET
Eat a bowl of oatmeal with flaxseed and a squeezed lemon every morning for 90 days. Add a teaspoon of wheat germ oil and then hot water. I also added a banana to mine. Then eat broccoli for lunch (raw or lightly steamed and baste it with coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil. As for drinking, my favorite smoothie is banana, blueberries, and almond milk turmeric. Then I have what is known as Cabala Juice morning and night. That’s freshly squeezed carrots x 3, apples x 3, beetroot x 1, skin on lemon x 1 if organic, and Brazil nut snacks throughout the day.
They are the main ingredients. You can also have as many fruits and vegetables as you like, but avoid sugar and processed foods and dairy other than organic butter. Thick, heavy whole-wheat or multi-wheat bread is also OK.
So that’s what I ate for 90 days. In fact, I still eat and drink it most days to this day. And I often fast either intermittently or for 3 to 7 days.
And the good news is that I am cancer free. 100 percent healthy and never felt better.
So I can safely say from my experience that the above eating protocol has worked wonders for me. Turmeric was a big part of it, so let’s find out more about it.
