There has been a steady trickle of announcements coming from One Drop in recent months about its data capabilities (28 billion biometric data points to be exact), the predictive power of its platform (remember the blood glucose predictions and the information on blood pressure) and NOW a partnership dealing with top-of-the-line smart device maker, Withings. What does all this add up to? How about some GREAT NEWS? Rachel Yap Martens, Senior Vice President of Business Strategy at One Drop, stops by with a big reveal on the cohesive strategy behind these moves, and how they all lead to One Drop’s launch of a first-of-its-kind minimally invasive BIOSENSOR that bring “continuous health screening” to market in the next year.

Health tech fans will remember One Drop’s acquisition of Sano Intelligence sensor technology in April 2020, but that was just the beginning. That sensor technology has been evolved, adapted, and refined, and it works by detecting analytes in the body’s interstitial fluid, which, if you look for it, contains important things like glucose, salt, fatty acids, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and more. Skip to the 15 minute mark in this interview if all you want to hear is this BUT a word of wisdom: the really compelling part of the sensor is how it will connect directly to all the other biometric data collection points in the One Drop Ecosystem. . Says Rachel, the goal is to help One Drop members “know what is happening to their bodies right now, what is going to happen to their bodies next, and know how to act.” Exciting interview !!
