Training Like a Manual Laborer

0 21

Having been a worker and training for over 30 years, I have a different attitude towards training. For years I earned and earn my living with my physical and mental strength. I have to keep fit to be able to continue to feed my family. In over 30 years of physical labor, I have never injured my back or missed work due to an injury at work.

I don’t always lift with my legs and never look or worry about it, I just do my job. I bend, I twist, I climb, I lift and I carry all day.

It’s rare for someone to work and train for so many years without the body already breaking down. One thing is that I take care of myself, eat well and have a different mindset than most men who work.

I hear it all the time on websites about bad backs and I’m getting old (most are younger than me) I can’t lift things like that anymore. Why do these guys keep doing a job that is physically difficult for them?

The reason for this is that they have heard for years from others like them that as you get older you can’t do the same things you used to. Nonsense! Eventually you’ll probably have a relegation, but these guys just all listen to themselves. I’ve been listening to it for years, wait until you’re my age, and I’ve been listening to it since I was 18. I don’t listen to it much anymore because of my age.

I get tired of people stepping in and saying that “they know a man” or “my father” or my grandfather” always give exceptions but don’t include me in the general working population because I don’t follow the standards of the common man .

I decide how things go, not the story. People hate the way I act and don’t care and I’m living proof. Until someone can prove me wrong, I will continue to train like I always have. Training to win in life, training for honor, training for survival is why I continue to challenge my mind and body. The moment we decide we no longer need an advantage, we lose our edge. Once you feel like it doesn’t matter anymore, you’re right, you’ve already lost the edge!
