Get Lean and Mean and Stay Looking Good for Life – Book Review

0 44

Are you overweight? Have you noticed that every time you try a new diet, it works for a while and then the weight comes back? Do you know friends who just can’t stay on track or shed those extra pounds even though they know it’s bad for their health? Want to know a plan that really works, that makes sense, but also includes lifestyle changes?

Well then it’s about time you lose weight now, but don’t you dare ask me how. Instead let me recommend a very good book that I think you should read by a very popular nutritional self help author who knows a fair bit on the subject of weight loss, dieting, nutrition and exercise, all subjects that you need to know to make the changes in your life to achieve your goals and become a better, slimmer, thinner and leaner you. So, without further ado, this is the book I would like to recommend to you:

“Lean for Life – a Six Week Program”, by Cynthia Stamper Graff, Lean for Life Publishing (self-published), Costa Mesa, CA, 2001, 262 pages, ISBN: 0-9777253-0-8.

The author also happens to be the CEO of one of the largest weight loss centers in the country, and this book begins with a dozen or more testimonials from people who have each lost well over 50 pounds, wow. This book is about taking a personal journey, making lifestyle changes and thereby living a fuller but slimmer life. This book is not for someone who is not serious or refuses to make these changes that will all lead to the better. It’s not for the lazy folk or the free spirit who wants to take diet pills and end the day or try Hollywood’s latest crash diet craze. This is real and for really serious people. Apart from that, it is also fun and the results convince the readers.

It’s basically a two-phase approach that includes 6 key weight loss ingredients. The reader will learn about ketosis as it is an important part of this diet plan. Enlightening the reader, the book goes day-by-day and step-by-step as it explains protein needs, proper calorie intake, carbohydrates, fluids, electrolytes, and the reality behind Body Mass Index charts and graphs genetic components of a healthy diet. It’s all there, and you’ll learn tons about how you got overweight and how to stay slim and slender without crippling your style or ruining the fun in your life.

Every day there is more to know, more to learn, and you read as you go. No wonder this book and plan worked so well for so many people. For this reason I would like to recommend this work to you if your previous diets have failed and you were not satisfied with yourself and the results. Please consider all of this and think about it.
