Try these new treadmill tips to have a better workout
If you’re like me, you will get extremely bored on the treadmill. I don’t like running at all, so it is difficult for me to motivate myself to run in the hall. However, when the temperature starts to drop and snow is coming soon, running on the treadmill is your best option. I’ve been looking for tips and tricks that will make running inside more enjoyable and I’ve found a few that help me! So, if you’re like me and hate running on the treadmill, there are a few things you can try next time to make it more fun.
Create a playlist. One of the things that help me the most is finding music that motivates me and keeps me going. Whether EDM, rap or even indie, find out which music motivates you!
Download an app. Thanks to the advent of technology, there are now a number of apps that make walking more enjoyable! Zombies, run! simulates the escape from zombies and RunSocial allows you to run with people all over the world!
Try intervals. With intervals on the treadmill, time goes by faster and faster! Find some intervals to try Here!
Watch a show. If music isn’t your thing, watch your favorite show to make the time go by!
Track your progress. Tracking your progress can help you stay motivated to keep going. Sites like this it’s really easy to do.
While running on a treadmill might not be ideal, these tips can make your next tip to the gym more manageable! Also check out the Hamel Rec Center which has an amazing indoor stretch if treadmills aren’t your thing.
