If you’ve recently been diagnosed with nasal polyps, you know the frustration that comes with the condition, but do you know how to remove and treat natural nasal polyps?
Most often, people with slightly milder nasal polyps can calm their condition with natural remedies, home remedies that can often save time and money. These methods include using sinus irrigation, tea tree oil, and a few other tips that I’ll discuss.
sinus irrigation
Personally, I think everyone should flush their sinuses. It helps remove germs as well as wash out dirt and allergens that are stuck in the nose. – And how does this help with nasal polyps? Well, not only can it help calm them down and make it easier for you to breathe, but using a sinus irrigation can even help prevent nasal polyps. Yes, just a simple daily cleaning can do wonders for your nose, help you breathe easier and actually give you a better quality of life.
tea tree oil
We all know what tea tree oil is. It’s in shampoos, aromatherapy, soaps, etc. – and it just smells good! However, did you know that this oil also has anti-inflammatory properties? Yes, it is true! And that’s why tea tree oil can be great for removing nasal polyps naturally. To use this oil for your polyps, you should first dilute the oil with some purified water. Pure tea tree oil can be very potent, so it’s always best to dilute it when applying to a sensitive area of the body. After diluting the oil, put some on the end of a cotton swab. Then apply the cotton swab to the polyps. If you can’t reach the polyps, just dab the inside of your nose. You will find that your polyps will actually begin to shrink and often go away forever.
Medical options
When all natural methods fail, you may want to see a doctor. In most cases, you will be treated with medications such as nasal drops and sprays. In more severe cases, doctors choose to remove your nasal polyps through surgery.
Other tips
People most likely to develop nasal polyps often have chronic sinus problems, sinusitis, and allergy issues. – And of course, if you fall into any of the above categories, you should stay away from allergens to reduce your risk of developing these growths. If you are allergic to cats, stay away from them. If you are allergic to dust, dust regularly. – And as I mentioned before, always keep your nose clean by using a nasal rinse. These are cheap and can be bought at almost any drug store.
And of course, remember to always consult your doctor before making a diagnosis or attempting to treat yourself. Especially if you have an illness and/or are taking medication.
