Why A Hollister Models Diet And Exercise Routine Is Much Different Than Yours

Why do Hollister models that boast a good amount of muscle mass look so different in gyms today than your average bodybuilder? Could there be a reason her muscles look more visually stunning than the average weightlifter, or is it because of good genetics? Is it possible to be as slim and fit as these models? A lot of people wonder this, but it’s important to understand why a Hollister model’s diet and exercise routine is radically different from your average muscle building program.

Strategic muscle gains in the right places

A Hollister model muscle building program is specifically designed to strengthen specific areas of the body. This is done on purpose so that the overall appearance is visually stunning. They focus on addressing both sarcoplasmic muscle growth and myofibrillar hypertrophy to achieve proper muscle mass and density. The areas of the body that receive the most attention are the upper and inner chest, biceps, triceps, deltoids, and back. Adding muscle size and density in these areas can dramatically improve your looks. But did you notice that traps and the lower body weren’t included?

Why direct footwork is not required

Hollister models don’t have huge legs or prominent trapezius muscles. The build of the trapezius muscles hides the appearance of broad, square shoulders and creates a rounder appearance. A thick upper back and neck is not desirable. It is very important that the upper body resembles a “V”. Because of this, exercises like squats and deadlifts are usually avoided. Squats and deadlifts do a great job of adding bulk to the hips, thighs, glutes, and waist. You don’t want excess bulk in these areas of the body. Adding muscle in these areas takes away the sleek and angular “V” that the torso carries. Don’t worry; You’re not a “bodybuilding heretic” if you don’t do direct leg training. Having too little body mass can cause the models to have difficulty fitting into pants or jeans. Models need to look hip, not tall and chunky. Well defined legs don’t have to be big. HIIT cardio and a good diet will give you the right size and definition.

But what about six pack abs?

That is of course a given. You can’t be a good-looking model without great abs. With Hollister models, this is obviously a science. Your abs aren’t big and bulky, but are well defined. Planks do a great job of sculpting your midsection without adding bulk, while hanging leg raises develop the “V” between the lower hips and abs. A slim and square waist is extremely important for models. While planks and hanging leg raises are great ab exercises, did you know that the key to exposing your abs actually has nothing to do with ab exercises? Diet is the most important aspect of good looking abs. I don’t care what your trainer or fitness buddy says about the best ab exercises if your diet isn’t under control. As long as you’re consuming more calories than you burn, you’ll continue to have stubborn body fat that’s blurring your definition.

Diet is key to full body definition

Now that we’ve established that great abs are more about nutrition than anything else, what about the rest of your body? Hollister models have a very low body fat percentage. This can be very difficult for people to achieve as they tend to underestimate how much food they are actually eating in a day. When fat loss is the goal, everything you put in your mouth counts. Models don’t eat like giant bodybuilders or the average gym rat. If you want to lose weight, you need to cut down on the junk and fill it up with high-intensity interval training. Combining intermittent fasting and HIIT training routines with your muscle building program will burn off that chunk of stubborn body fat in no time. Simply eating less with high-intensity interval cardio will help you stay lean and maintain a low body fat percentage comparable to Hollister models.

Why slightly chubby models don’t make the cut

Because of this, a Hollister model’s diet and exercise routine is so specific that slightly chubby models are never considered. Being photo ready is crucial for models. That’s why they need to stay lean and mean all year round. Even though it takes a lot more discipline to stay slim and fit, it pays off when it comes to photoshoots.
