The Extraordinary Miracle Berry Conspiracy

0 29

In today’s world, health conscious people and diabetics around the world have what seems like an eternal mission to avoid refined sugars in the foods they eat. Unfortunately, virtually all of today’s low-calorie sweeteners can be contaminated with chemicals or simply miss marks in terms of mimicking the taste of sugar. Given the great desire for a safer, natural, and chemical-free alternative to sugar, it’s a real shame that there isn’t an organic, easily accessible sugar alternative to sweeten our foods.

Well, indeed, there is a fantastic all-natural substitute, although it was hidden from the public for many years by money-hungry sugar substitute suppliers who used the government for their private tax gains at the expense of the health and welfare of the nation. Dubbed “The Miracle Fruit Conspiracy,” this suppression of an all-natural ingredient that could easily untie the shackles of diabetes problems and help citizens eat healthier could make the list of the boldest nutritional envelopes of all time.

Sometimes going by a number of names including Miracle Berry as well as its scientific name Synsepalum Dulcificum, the Miracle Fruit is a peculiar bush native to West Africa. Its red-hued, cranberry-sized fruits contain a natural substance called Miraculin, which has the power to limit the tongue’s sour and bitter taste buds and change the taste associated with sour and bitter into sweet. You heard that right; Miraculin is able to make any sour and bitter tasting food taste as delicious as the sweetest sugar you have tasted before. The taste-altering properties of the miracle berry are so powerful and effective that the miracle berry has been used worldwide as a good sugar alternative for many years. So if this type of superfruit really is that wonderful, why haven’t you encountered it until now?

This particular conspiracy begins as a story of 2 organizations. GD Searle, led by Donald Rumsfeld (yes, that same ex-Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld), became the company tasked with getting aspartame through the FDA approval process as an artificial sweetener, and Maralin, led by Robert Harvey, whose ambition it was to use the Miracle Berry’s Miraculin as an organic sugar alternative.

Mr. Harvey and Marailin have had great results using Miracle Fruit as a sweetener. Their Miracle Berry-infused foods have been tested very well, with people choosing treats made with Miracle Berry over sugar by a wide margin. These positive effects unsettled the sugar manufacturers as well as the sweeteners manufacturers who wanted to turn their billion dollar business upside down because of a simple organic ingredient.

GD Searle had significant government ties, had to pay enormous sums to lobbyists, and was even able to put on a pleasant face as the new FDA commissioner just in time to get aspartame through FDA approval. Not only did they manage to get their own chemically engineered product approved, but they were also able to convince the FDA to designate Miracle Fruit as a “food additive” a day before Marailin’s inception product run . Mr. Harvy and Marailin, considered a food additive, were now expected to undergo many more years of extensive research and expensive testing before the FDA could potentially allow Miraculins to be used as a viable retail substitute for sugar. The additional time and expense imposed by the FDA ultimately led to the demise of marilin and with it the use of Miracle Berry as an effective commercial sugar alternative. In addition to the FDA reclassification, Mr. Harvie’s business was broken into, ransacked, his research records robbed and destroyed. In the end, it seems that big business finally prevailed and was successful in thwarting the prolific use of the Miracle Berries as a viable commercialized sweetener.

Now, dozens of years later, after Miracle Fruit was more or less completely wiped off the map, it’s finally being allowed back onto the American market, and it’s only a matter of time before people know what’s been done to theirs Eyes due to corporate and business greed. This natural, plant-based sweetener is poised to start a sugar supplement revolution.
