With Diwali just around the corner, the preparations are in full swing and the anticipation for this auspicious festival is at its peak.     • After a heavy meal, a tablespoon of honey mixed with a squeezed lemon and powdered cinnamon (Dalchini) can stimulate good enzymes and control cholesterol levels.
    • It is common to have a heavy meal during festivals. To reduce the chances of negative impact on your health, have a spoonful of trikatu with ghee before you eat. This combination strengthens the metabolism and promotes healthy digestion.
    • Avoid fried candy and opt for candy with ghee.
    • Candy consumption is higher during festivals than at any other time of the year, which increases the likelihood of elevated sugar levels, which can be particularly dangerous for diabetics. Ayurvedic experts suggest that a mixture of amla, turmeric, and aloe vera can help control sugar levels.
